T-2610BV

The T-2600BV is typically used for hot and cold testing of semiconductor, hybrid and other small components. The unit provides an economical, low-cost alternative to systems that use mechanical refrigeration or LN2 as the cooling mechanism while still providing a boom and arm. The temperature range is -20C to +225C and the unit weighs 30 pounds.

The system uses the vortex principle to produce the chilled air. This innovative technology eliminates the requirement of using LN2 or mechanical refrigeration; thereby, providing a system with a lower overall cost in terms of purchase, operating and maintenance expenditures. An added benefit of vortex technology is that it does not use any CFCs and is environmentally safe. Key features include:

Operator Interface

The primary features of the T-2610BV control panel are a four-line, eighty-character display; a data entry keypad; and three preset keys. The display panel presents status information, menus and end-user prompts to assist in easy set-up and operation of the system.

Menu-driven software offers flexibility in configuring the system for various applications. Specific items that you may configure include: test temperature, temperature control mode (air or DUT), soak time, temperature ramp rate, and ATE interface type. Additionally, the system enables you to set up and store a set of test sequences with varying temperature set points and soak times for use in automatic temperature cycling.

Remote interfaces are implemented via RS-232C and IEEE-488 protocols. This provides the ability to communicate with the system from an external computer or terminal. A library of built-in remote commands enables you to read, modify, and control most operating parameters.

Basic Output Hose

A basic output hose (BOH) provides easy positioning of the temperature-controlled air on the test device. Heating or cooling of the device is achieved by directing this stream of air directly onto the device or into an enclosed environment such as a thermal fixture. The system arrives with several sizes of thermal caps, which can provide an appropriate enclosure for many types of devices.

Rear Panel

The rear panel of the T-2610BV contains the following connectors for air input, communications and electrical power.
